#1 Anyone recommend a pair of small wire cutters?

Post by thomas »

Sorry for the 'simple' question but my trusty mini wire cutters gave up on me recently, which is a bit of a bummer whilst I'm trying to build my utracer....

The piece that broke flew off at high velocity and fortunately away from me.

I did have another pair from a high street store near you but they were really useless.

So are there any recommendations, any 'king dick' or 'fluke' equivalents of the mini wire cutting world? Advice needed!

Ta!

Thanks Nick, a pair duly ordered. Not cheap but I'd like to think my eyes are worth it.

All my small cutters & pliers are Lindstrom - about 12 pairs now (different models). Some I've had and used heavily for 15 years or more - still tight & sharp. I wipe the edges of the cutters with a very fine diamond file once in a while to keep them keen...

Top quality tools, worth every penny, but like all tools, don't abuse them too much - big bit of copper wire , use bigger cutters etc.

I still have and use my GPO lindstrom pliers wiring no 81, cutters and duckbill pliers.
I got them in 1980 when I started and they still function perfectly.

I haven't tried Lindstrom, I use Knipex's ESD range.
