I'm looking at a 24V PSU with an H15 connector.
The pin function is stated, but I'm not sure of some.
+Vout - makes sense
-Vout - makes sense
+sense
-sense both as close to load as possible.
extI/0+ = ?
PFQ = ?
PFQ/ = ?
extI/0- = ?
N -Neutral
L - Live
PE = ? (protective earth ?)

Any ideas ?
Two PSUs are now on there way to me so I'd like to be able to wire them up properly.

PE, yep, I think you're right there Phil.
The sense pair I'd imagine sit in parallel with + - output from the PSU but connect the sense pair (as its says) as close to the point in the cct that you want the actual 24V to be across. Its a way of getting round any voltage drop that might occur on the 24V feed to whatever it is the PSU is supplying. The PSU might produce (say) 24.8V DC at it's o/p connector but the remote sense locks the monitored point to exactly 24V via its remote sense pair.
The others, lordy knows.

Either way, the sense connections need to be connected to the output, either at the power supply, or better at the load. Without them, the supply can't regulate because it won't see its output.

Yeah, the type I use on my SB Touch's wont supply an o/p unless the sense can track the o/p from start up, the OVP kicks in straight-away to protect the load.

The input, standard output and sense connections I understand, but the others I don't.
Is there not a standard nomenclature in the electrical industry for one to refer to.
I need to find someone who has experience with industrial or telecommunication electrics.

You might not need to actually connect anything to the other mystery pins Phil, the data sheet says the sense pins must be connected (and the load and mains supply I'd imagine too!) but not the other pins maybe?

No, it's 24v @ 5A =120va (or W)
Input is 115v or 230v switchable.
Me thinks you are right about the "other" connections.

I asked the seller, and got this reply.
"Its easier than you think!
Just connect sense + and - to either back of unit or if you want really good regulation connect to delivery point of supply
.Ignore IO connections(unless you need them) they are just open collector type pos and neg going indications of supply output for remote monitoring
if you use the units in parallel connect the sense wires to your terminal block where the parallel connection is made.
Only thing to avoid is firing up without sense wires connected (or reversed) as may cause damage."

What he means is it would go over voltage if you don't give it feedback. So connect the sense wires as he says to the output's at the very least or conncet them to your valve bass for better regulation. But don't levae them unconnected.
