I know there are a few squeezebox users here who lament the premature passing at the hands of Logitech.

erm ... that's a 1380+ post thread. Is there a point in there that is important or something that you are pointing out that we should look at?

Well, I looked at the beginning to get the gist of the topic and then the end to see where it has progressed too.
If it helps, it is an initiative to community develop a DIY solution to replace the now defunct Logitech products. Current status seems to be approaching an initial build. John Swenson looks to be the main man behind the electronics.
