Can anyone recommend a nice free mp3 et al tag editor? I've never really found a decent one so would appreciate recommendations. :-)

Cheers Chris, I've downloaded it. Eventually, once I worked out which was the proper link to use rather than the ones that wanted to download a pile of crud as well...

I click download and it takes me to the correct screen, and I've no annoying adverts either.
I do use Firefox with ad blocking in place ...

Yeah found that in the end. Couldn't see for looking and clicked on the side menus which are downloads full of unnecessaryness. I guess there's no such thing as really free. Especially for the unwary.

I've used it for a good while now, and I like it - it's very straightforward to use too :)

And if you are a linux user then Puddletag is a pretty good alternative.

What's a tag?

Think of it as being akin to the sleeve notes on an LP record, only specific to ripped music files.

Don't think I'll need that.

But I must now glo watery eyed as I recall my teens when we didn't have to work our rocks off for the right to get warmth clothing food and a roof over our head and had the time to sit idle and read sleeve notes.

unless you're totally vinyl I'll guess that you do, or will. It's what all the music servers use for indexing, unless the music library is completely wav.

OK so 'tis more than just information to sit and read.
