I think we all know by now what this section is for.

#1 Squeezeplay for Android?

Post by Dave the bass »

I've been given an HTC Desire 'mobile communications device'... I need to unlock it to get it to work with my current mobile contract but... whats the name of the programmes you techno-whizz-bang-fella's use to either stream or control Squeezebox devices with?

The phone is running Android 2.2.2.

Brill! Thanks our-Simon. Looks like I need to start a Google Play account. I don't have one, thats not a prob though.

I just put my Sim from the my Virgin DangleBerry-not-very-smart-phone into this new HTC T-Mobile-whizz-bang-phone and lo and behold I'm sending texts already and can make calls... Ooooerrrr. I haven't managed to get online using the mobile yet but I've got wifi access sorted using it. Whahey! Livin' in the Fuschia (finally!).

I used to use Squeeze Commander, just download from the Marketplace. I thought it was good.

Don't think you need a Play account Dave, don't think I have one anyway. Both of those links should be free downloads (my favourite price).

You might need to set the phone up for Android - it will probably want you to set up a Gmail account if you haven't got one but we set the missus' Android tablet up using just her Hotmail I think. With your OS being quite old it might require Gmail? Dunno.

I use Squeeze Commander.
I have tried the Logitech app, but I don't really like it as it's too clunky.
