Hi-the wooden cube they sell as the mounting "box" is +190 (Pounds i assume) on top of the £189 for the tweeters and terminal panels !

Hi-my Autoroute says it will be about 75 miles via M66/M62/A1 so it's not that far.

Some of us come from a LOT further away !

If you are serious about speakers then you owe it to yourself to make the effort.

Hi-if you are using 6.3v AC heating and your transformer has not got a centre tap then you could make a "pseudo centre tap" by putting two 100R resistors in series across the 6.3V and taking the centre to ground.

Hi-i learned a bit about transformer primaries and secondaries when i made a complete cluck up wiring up the toroids for the PT15.

If you learn by your mistakes I should be brilliant (like DTB,but i've been doing it for longer.) :lol:

Hi Paul-i have been using the same Pre3 with all 5 sets of amps and the ECL82 seems to be the only one with the "problem" !
