Hi All, I was at owston yesterday they can accommadate us on the weekend of 19th and the 20th april is that ok with you all ? please post a quick yes or no... i may be able to get the following week end if its not.. .. ( i hope) once we get the date sorted for us regulars..I will post on the WD site...

i think they are jensons in the 2p amp

steve, the reason that most amps have too much gain or are very sensitive, is that most of the designs are from the 50's when the tuner or what ever may be connected may not have much output voltage.. if you are making a product to sell it must cover all types of inputs lots of gain gives a sense of...

pauls spot on steve.. like me, and a few others on this board, paul knows a good valve when he see's it.. there s nothing wrong with more of the modern valves (post war ?) but the early ones .... they are hard to find and take some reconising as info is not as easy to find.. i know paul likes the 01...

Thanks scott, thats saved me a job.. thats the baffles bit from 'loudspeakers' by briggs The engineer involved in all these 'tests' was Cooke who started Kef in 1961.. i bough hi fi world today just to read the baffle bit.. i was suprised to see how peter eventually stated that higher resonace bass ...

Al, My understanding is these relate to backless cabs, so they have tops and bottoms too... i would think that it will be less of a peak just using sides.. .. pauls looked like they had tops.. that why i thought they may be of use. they would have been tested in a free space so no floors or walls to...

Paul they look very interesting... are the bass drivers in a backless cab... if they are this may be some use... again from olson via briggs... all those peaks can result in bass colour to some point... i have one of john crabbe's books, it is a good read, i think at the time of writing it in '69, h...

Now the sand filled 250hz front horns arrived. Oh yes (inset a Churchill emoticon) Very nice, great blend with OB, has to sit amongst the baffle anway, as the full baffle required for bass. . paul, this is sounding like your really on the way with these... very impressed any chance of a photo? ... ...
