I love coral music Dave.
The following recommendation is a little bit “free jazz” in one or two places, which might put some people off but taken as a whole, “Blow Your Snorkel” by Reef Rainbow and his Angel Fish is a cracker. 🐟

Re: More SEPs

There’s probably some kind of step-down arrangement that causes the amp to think it is driving speakers. The stepped down signal then drives the electret transducers in the earpie...

Re: More SEPs

Well blow me down, I'm trying the SEP as a headphone amp at the moment on a pair of our Ant's Audio Technica AT706s, which plug into the speaker outlets via a box of tricks. Very impressed with the sound over headphones. What is even more impressive is the complete absence of any background hiss or ...

Re: Fane 12-250TC Retro Speaker.

Did you also use the gaskets that came with the driver? I find them very thick. The driver sticks out 12mm with them. I bolted the drivers to a spare bit of plywood (just a flat piece with no hole) tightened them down, then when removed, the gaskets are crushed to a couple of mm thick. They barely ...

Re: Fane 12-250TC Retro Speaker.

My son made them out of MDF with a router, then I sprayed them with metallic bronze paint.
Grille material is Fender guitar amp weave.
The radius is 6mm larger than the outer diameter of the driver.
