Andrew,

Gm is, in many ways, related to goodness for a cathode follower and the 12B4A has only about 1/3 of the Gm of the C3g... so I would use the C3g :D

However that's no way to evaluate sound quality - so suck it and see...

Save the C3gs for phono amps!

Hello Folks! Andrew you have pulled me out the woods :D Thank you so much for building this little amp - it has always been a firm favorite of mine.
