Andrew
I have 4-off 470u/6.3 NXs . You could do the super-E-cap pairing thing and get c.1000u that way .
Shall I send them ( in a couple of days ) - if so , send address on a PM

The pace issue could easily be dependant on having enough mass loading on the headshell for the 103 to develop bass properly ( since it is very low compliance ) . Timing and dynamics are often linked to low bass performance. This is easier said than done if you're running it on the Vic air arm, sinc...

No, I don't think so, I guess the idea was to use something better than an electrolytic - LynnO used the best he could think of for that size, which was GE polyprop/oil with a teflon by-pass . Those are jolly good actually . There would be a problem using any electros or Black Gates in that circuit ...

Hello Andrew Looks like it's going pretty good then ? I suppose one advantage of the ultrapath cap is you can use something better quality than the main PS caps, but if you don't, the effect of ultrapath may be marginal . How high is your B+ ? If it's less than 350, you might want to try a Black Gat...

But of course , 'Ahead Rings Out' is one of the great Island Pinks , on the 2nd type black block pink label of course. Let me just check 'Getting to This ' ....green Chrysal...

Chokes
Just instructed Bud Purvine to build me a pair of anode chokes.
55H , 265DCR , M3 core. Will take max 85mA DC , which is way more than I need but hopefully very linear over typical operating range.
10 weeks delivery .

Nice Work Dave . Good on finding some SV Nick Drake. Still can't decide whether I think Nick's best record is Bryter Layter or Pink Moon, They are both so very very good . Keep on the lookout for any Pink Rim copies of BL or PM though, you may ( like I did ) find a good disc in a tatty cover, and th...
