Phil I think on mine at present I just have the secondaries floating . In the past build I had a centre-tap formed from two 220R resistors, and referenced the middle to 0V or perhaps I was keener and put it to a voltage divider off the B+ to get say 30V ( and this being with a 100u electrolytic from...

It's a question of being close to the plate dissipation of the C3m which I think is 4.2W . I think I currently have 12k on the rebuild but things are a little more comfortable with 12.8 or 13k . I had 11k Mills to hand and some non-descript 1.8k resistors and series-d them . If you run less than 465...

OK, three goodies from an afternoon in Rhyl waiting to go to the dentist : Beatles Hard Day's Night first pressing mono . Every time I go back to the Beatles I'm shocked at how good some of the tracks sound . On those early LPs on mono Parlophone the guitar sound just knocks you out of the seat . PI...

Thanks Phil , that box sounds practically perfect for the job. I will give him a call . If you are buying special resistors then by all means get some 18k . It will just affect the shunt current going through the OA2 slightly , no problem . On the other hand it's not going to be the most demanding r...

Scott - I think the word is 'Yikes' , but for true authenticity there should be a can of Double-Diamond in front of them instead .

Simon - my woodworker friend is going to pick up the sheets with his trailer and take them back to his farm for cutting :D

(ii) Scott - what would those Sansuis look like then ?

Another F4 starts

OK chaps , I'll barge in briefly here .
Just got a box of stuff from Rapid , with some bits for my forthcoming Pass F4 bass amp. There are two 160VA 18+18 toroids in there, I'm doing separate left & right power supplies .
Don't expect a whirlwind of activity on this .
