One for Baggo. :)

A short YouTube clip of a Nimbus being started and revved up. Sounds nice.

Re: Owston meet, 21 & 22nd Oct '23

I just checked Owston Hall, and a room for one night is £168.(Double room only 1 left)

Add a meal at Darios and a few drinks and that's upwards of £200.

That's a bit much for what looks like a chat with two other people.

Re: What Are You Listening To Right This Minute?

Blimey, I thought you were listening to Fog on the Tyne by Gazza for a minute. Phew! Started complying a play list for the WAM show, need 7hrs of music. When searching through the artists, I came across a Keith Richards solo CD, Think he would give Gazza a run for this money…. may use it as the fin...

Re: General health matters.

Actually, my sense of taste is not as bad as I thought. I sprinkled some sea salt in my palm, and touching my tongue on it the taste was obvious. :)

Smelling things still not happening. :(

Seems Jean has remained free of symptoms so far. :D

Re: General health matters.

I went on a coach trip yesterday, and on the way home my throat felt a little sore. During the evening the throat got worse, as though I had a cold coming, and this morning I got a positive Covid test. BUM. :( That was Tuesday morning. I hadn't lost my sense of smell/taste, but this morning they ha...

Re: SV811-3

Steve, if you need any parts for this ask on here. I've got a lot of things that in reality, I'm never going to use so I'd rather see them go to a good home.

All I really want to keep is anything particular to my 833a build.

Re: Nothing In Particular

Yes, there were many reasons why the British car industry disappeared.

At one time the only truly British car company's were TVR, Reliant and Morgan. Two of those have gone and the other is no longer truly British. :(

Re: Nothing In Particular

Apart from maybe Minis no one thinks of those cars in any kind of reverence that some do of say an Alfa though. There's a reason (or several) why we don't have a car industry any more. I don't have any experiences of Alfa cars, although friends told me the Alfasud was good until such time it rusted...

Re: Nothing In Particular

My first car was a yellow Austin Allagro. £600. It was the sports version as it only had 2 doors ;-). Only ever ran on 3 of the 4 cylinders. I remember jacking it up one day to change the wheel and the cill collapsed on to the jack because of corrosion. There was a little more ventilation in the ca...
