I have only recently come to this forum - via a Roksan post The thing is I have been messing around with machining up uni-pivot tone arms too The quest started back in 2013 after I got hold of an old Myford lathe - pre ML7 series - that I got in a trade. I had been wanting to do this for ages before...

Hi Ant The old psu you have pictured is indeed a first gen power supply. XPS1 The main issue as I see it is that the heat from the current dumping resistors just heated every thing up too much and I think a lot of the skinny PCB tracked suffered as well = I am sure that a lot of problems were caused...
