Re: TG "The Loudspeaker" Build (Sort of)
Thats the type i use, gets a good seal and isnt too annoying to use. Only thing with mine is the clasp on the strap is abit crap and tends to come a bit loose after wearing it for a while. Can just yank on the ends and retighten it though

Re: Oracle Delphi mk1 Quick Restoration
Having listened to a couple of records this morning, the 309 makes much more sense on the jbe. Sounds very good, basically how it should do. Nice and neutral top to bottom, no particular emphasis from the arm anywhere. the slight peak in the upper mid that has been there with evey single arm i have ...

Re: Oracle Delphi mk1 Quick Restoration
I had a day off today in order to go to an appointment with emma, so i decided to fit the 309 onto the jbe. Didnt actually take very long, just had to modify the arm board with an sme cutout. Having a milling machine makes these things much easier. Was nice to use some tools and do something again. ...

Re: Oracle Delphi mk1 Quick Restoration
Did a bit of playing around with the oracle yesterday. I was puzzled when i tried it originally as to why it sounded so inconsistent and frankly abit crap with the sme on it, and why conversely it sounded good enough for me to buy it with the tabriz on it. It has bothered me for quite a while, becau...

Re: RTZ SDM (DSD) DAC
I have 2 wiim minis and you can only output to an external dac via optical. It says it will do 192 down the optical, but one dac i have will pick it up and the other wont. My topping e30 will pick up the 192 test signal it outputs but my jds labs dac wont. That one only accepts it via usb which the ...

Fostex t50rp mk3 planar headphones
Thinning down the collection, all packaging and both the original supplied cables, not a lot of use, i bought them new about 12 months ago.
Nice sounding cans, after about 80 quid, fiver postage. They are around 150 ish new as there are plenty of deals about for them
Cheers ant

Re: What i have ended up with
Been listening to this rig with a(nother) change for a while now. I got hold of a jds labs el dac 2+, fed it with the optical out of the wiim mini. The main rig has a topping e30 in the same position. The jds does all the usual things that dacs do these days, accepts usb coax and optical. doesnt hav...
