Or at least blamed the user for holding the update incorrectly :-)

Well no he says it on the small Q2 opt when the valves are imbalanced I think is the key to 2hd from the opt
Ok, but if the valves are unbalanced then surely the 2nd is from the unbalanced valves, not the transformer?

Still confused. Does Keith Snook have something to say about the Kel84? Is it not the Kel84 where you say "Definately some 2nd generated in the transformers"?

Im glad I found the answer to my confusion of why the single cathode resistor is bypassed at all.

I cant see where you said what the answer you found was, but I would normally expect it to be because the output stage can and will move from A into B, so the current through the cathode resistor ...

Problem solved. The posts in question have invalid unicode in them which causes the forum software to have a fit. Its sometimes the case with old posts from before the database shifted to UTF8. Not deleted, just hiding :-)

I had to ask siri twice what a feline is. First answer which was taken away before I could read even the first sentence said a family of Mammals. So I asked again and sait to siri let me hVe more time to read youre answer. Siri said cats.

Nick - when you removed some users a few years back (they were being obnoxious), didn't you also delete their posts?

e.g. Rudolf Hucker & something or other Minge?


I may have done so in that one particular instance. But other than that, AFAIK I have not deleted posts (other than my own). But ...

Just checked, posts can be deleted up to 60 minutes after creation, edited 720 minutes after posting.

One could take a view on why they deleted their words. Especially when you can remember the gist of the exchanges. But perhaps it's worth considering blocking the ability to edit posts after a certain time to preserve context?
