Re: Zero emission road vehicles.

Re: Zero emission road vehicles.

In the end it's all about mpg, from a climate point of view, and I intend to check that if I can find out how to manually re-set the trip MPG function on my dashboard, and find a quiet road somewhere locally.

Re: Zero emission road vehicles.

In Wales we now have the problem that Drakeford has brought in a naive and brainless idea idea that we must drive at 20mph across the country to save a few accident lives, without understanding of the bigger picture. I viscerally resent the problem of having to drive in 3rd gear, take longer to get ...

I was watching a video from Ed Laverack, winning the Bridgewater CC hillclimb on Crowcombe Hill at the weekend.

Re: Interesting (non musical) YouTube videos.

Interesting Vid, 'Jack', I'll sit down in the comfy armchair in a minute and have a better look at that. Ps. congrats on 35 years. Megavalanche is quite well known these days. My friend from work did it 2 years ago, but not as fast as this. Check out the level of attrition on the first corner ! http...

Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

The system only accepts jpegs up to 256kB which is quite small.
If I want to put up better pics then i go to imgbb.com and upload the picture to there, then use 'full img code bb linked ' ( I think ) & place this link into the posting.

Re: SV811-3

Looks like a James D circuit diagram that Dave built. I believe that one came round to my house. Dave managed to electrocute himself ( slightly ) on the way through the door, from a stray capacitor hanging off one side.

Re: Purifi-based monitor - options

It might fill some of it but not the 150Hz part, which is a feature of my room. In John's studio, I intend to get a short testing session to see how the bass has come up in his smaller room, and whether anything like a BSC is required. Currently he's in a honeymoon period, calling me a 'Genius' and ...

Re: Purifi-based monitor - options

Well, we're at the finish line now. We had another life-related delay to Dave finishing the cabinets, but the work is now done and is exemplary. The main veneer is American Ash. The three of us spent a very hot 3 1/2 hours yesterday getting all the wiring in place and lightly stuffing with long-hair...
