Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

And, apart from jack has said, I really can't see the relevance of a piece on e-bikes or maintenance here as neither are discussion topics of the Audio-Talk cycling 'readership'.

Re: Zero emission road vehicles.

Get a bike, you can then do more than the speed limit and not get touched for it!

Re: what are you doing ?

A really good day out at the Hisotoric Dockyard yesterday, especially as I got there earlier than expected, bang on opening time. I was on my feet a lot and walked around 6miles during the day but managed to get around the Mary Rose, which is really fascinating, and some of the recovered artefacts a...

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

I was watching a video from Ed Laverack, winning the Bridgewater CC hillclimb on Crowcombe Hill at the weekend. Have you been up that one, Ray - looks like a brute ! It is a brute Mark, and the gradient is accentuated by it being essentially 'straight' so you see it in front of you the whole time -...

Re: what are you doing ?

I've just booked a 1 year all--attractions ticket for the Historic Dockyard at Portsomouth - tomorrow I'll make my first use of it to visit the Mary Rose, which I've not visited since it fully opened in its dedicated exhbition facility. That'll leave me another 364 days to (re)visit the Submarine mu...

Re: Interesting (non musical) YouTube videos.

Thus it's all the more impressive that they can do something like that with so little oxygen available. They must have acclimatised for a week or so else they'd be destroyed. Yeah, being aware of the altitude issues, I was super impressed with the effort he was putting in on the sections where he w...

Re: Interesting (non musical) YouTube videos.

I've been watching the first four Youtube videos about the new Thrust Water Speed Record project, inspiration from the ill-fated John Cobb 'Crusader' record bid back in the 1950s. It's handy when you happen to have a pair of Rolls Royce Spey jet engines (from RAF Phantoms) lying about in your shed.....

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

I did another 100miler yesterday. 15mile ride out, 65mile charity ride then 20mile ride home.

Very rural route, unfortunately, torrential storms before the start made some of the lanes like farmyards, very shitty and slippery, and then it was like a sauna when the sun came out!
